Bonde do Rolê’s “Kilo”

There is not a single thing I dislike about this video. Not. One. Single. Thing.

Diplo’s “Express Yourself” (feat. Nicky Da B)

Uh, some nutso grimey sissy bounce from Diplo? Yes, please. Do yourself a favor and assess all the asses. You will be better off for it. Bonus points for the Black Metal Diplo shirt. My only real disappointment with this track/video is that there is no Big Freedia cameo. Maybe next time.

Diplo’s “Percão”

I didn’t know Diplo had any videos at all, but this morning JJ sent me a video of a bunch of big booty Brazilian girls modeling. Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” was set behind the video. The video also showed a DJ which made me think of this Diplo track so I found it on Youtube and sent it to JJ. Then I watched it and it’s pretty good, so here we are.

Wasn’t that an amazing recounting of events? I know, I know. I blow you away daily.

The video for “Percão” features chicks shaking their asses, favelas, nightclubs, dogs, and dudes with no shirts on. Basically everything that City of God taught me to expect of Rio. And if the track doesn’t make you want to move, you should probably check to see if you’re breathing.

Die Antwoord’s “Evil Boy”

Two words: PENISES.

If that didn’t clue you in, this video might be a little NSFW unless you work in a boner factory or something and penises are a common sight at your place of work.

And, in contrast, Die Antwoord has not disappointed at all. These guys get weirder and weirder with every piece of media they release and this video for Diplo-produced “Evil Boy” is no different. What they’re doing is some sort of insane genius art project involving the entire world and I love it. I am bummed I missed them when they played here at the Music Hall of Williamsburg. I don’t even know what I was doing when I missed it. Working? Out of town? Stupid? Probably just stupid. God damn, I suck sometimes.

Enjoy this video in a place where you won’t get in trouble for watching. And check Yolandi’s fucking mean ass flows. Darkly wonderful.

A-Trak’s Dirty South Dance 2

Intro by A-Trak

This is what I am listening to right this moment and I think that, as a reader of The Black Laser, you should trust my opinion and listen to it too. Do try and listen to it on a decent set of speakers or you’re going to miss all the fat ass low end in these dirty, DIRTY jams.

I think that A-trak is my favorite DJ right now. Between him and Diplo, and their propensity to drop free music on you every few weeks, I’m up to my ears in filthy beats and I love it so much.

If you want your own copy, head on over to A-trak’s Bandcamp page and download the hell out of it.
