The Adventures of Baron Ambrosia

Justin Fornal, a friend of a friend of mine, is known as Baron Ambrosia, the eccentric host* of a local Bronx public access food show called “Bronx Flavor”. In tremendous news for him, he just created a pilot of his show for the Cooking Channel in which he searches through New Jersey for the elusive Jersey Devil fajitas. All in all, it’s a high energy, spastic, utterly silly trip through the highs and lows of north east New Jersey’s culinary destinations.

Give the pilot a look and let’s all hope it turns into something really great for him.

*He also created the strangest film I’ve ever seen.

The mad animal animations of Cyriak

BoingBoing posted “Welcome to Kitty City” today and it’s the weirdest, most delightful thing I’ve seen in ages. That brought me to Cyriak’s Youtube page and from there I dove head first into his many insane geometric animal animations. And they are marvelous. Watch them all and then watch them again. So magnificently weird and devious and great. Really really great.

Wake Up and Dance: A Series of Short Films

Sarah decided that it was a good idea to wake up every morning for nearly a week and shoot a video of herself dancing.

Her description:

For a week I’m going to wake up, put on my clothes and dance like an idiot. DEAL WITH IT!
Note: There is nothing special about these videos!
sarahrox.com For your health!

She’s wrong, of course. There is something special about these videos. I think they’re genius even if she doesn’t. But, that’s my prerogative and this is my website, so if I say they’re awesome, they are. I mean, by all means, please judge for yourself, but understand that if you disagree with me, there is going to be a problem.

Day 1: Holy Ghost! – “Wait & See”

Day 2: M83 – “Midnight City”

Day 3: Fab Samperi – “Listen Up”

Day 4: Deadmau5 – “Raise Your Weapon (Madeon Extended Remix)”

See? Genius.
